Smart Grid Project - Greater Philadelphia Region

In 2011, through the Department of Energy's Smart Grid Investment Grant as a sub-tier applicant of PECO Energy, Liberty Property Trust began a smart building research and development project on 10 existing buildings. The purpose of the project was to take existing buildings of all vintages, optimize the buildings for efficiency, and establish demand response capability. In accordance with this plan, Liberty updated the buildings' controls to afford our tenants more customization over their thermal comfort and lighting conditions.

The project buildings were located throughout the greater Philadelphia suburbs. Here is the building list, with key asset characteristics:
